June 27th

Combined Young Women Activity on Wednesday June 27th

We are going to Camels Back Park
for a hike!

We are meeting at the church at 6:00pm

What you need to bring:
  • A sack dinner
  • water
  • And some girls have said to bring a change of pants because you will get really dirty if you want to slide down the hill
  •  

Overnighter Friday June 22-23rd



This Wednesday, we will not be having an activity because we have our OVERNIGHTER this weekend!!!


Date: Friday, June 22
Time: Meet at the church at10:30am to leave (parents, you can just drop off your daughters as the leaders will be carpooling and driving them to the cabin)
Place: Turn on Mountain Home exit and head NE :), about 2 hours away from Boise (this is the cabin of the uncle of one of our leaders, Sister Seeley)
Return Date: Saturday, June 23
Return Time: Saturday mid-afternoon (after lunch and travel time)
Return Place: the church (we'll have the girls call you from the road so you can meet them at the church to pick them up)


Packing List:

 Food items girls need to bring:
sack lunch for the car ride to the cabin on Friday
tin foil dinner already made (we'll place them in a cooler and we'll cook them in the coals Friday night)
optional snack foods to munch on
optional roasting stick

Leaders will provide:
dessert for Friday night
breakfast Saturday morning
lunch on Saturday

OTHER SUPPLIES TO BRING:
sleeping bag and pillow
PJ's
personal toiletries (toothbrush, deodorant, contact lens things, feminine hygiene products, etc.)
camp chair
flashlight
clothes for the next day
jacket
sun block
bug spray
optional camera
optional games to play

*Ladies, please pack conservatively. We won't have a lot of room in cars to transport excessive luggage.*

Misc. info.: 1. the cabin is run by a generator so we do have electricity, also we have bathrooms and running water and the outside is lit 2. the leaders will have cell phones and there should be reception 3. both Bishop Forsberg (Emma's dad) and Brother Watson (Elizabeth's dad) will be spending the night (in their own cabin-like building away from the main cabin) 4.we have at least 5 YW leaders going (Sister Vogt, Sister Seeley, Sister Clemente, Sister Manning, Sister Wing) and possibly a few more
