Upcoming Personal Progress Activity

Christmas is right around the corner, and I've found a family that is in need. They have been out of the country for three years working on schooling and just returned to the United States. They had to leave almost everything they had behind to fly home. The father is trying to now get a job, so they are living with there in laws and they have six kids. Here's where the beehives come into play, I thought it would wonderful to make gifts for the family for Christmas. At our Personal Progress activity this coming Wednesday the 10th, we are going to be sewing two rag quilts for the two oldest of the six kids. I would love help planning this activity and putting it all together. These are some of the ways this project could be used in your Personal Progress as a project:

Individual Worth- carry out a project to improve the living situation of someone in need.

Divine Nature-develop a skill you could use in your future home (sewing).

Good Works- serve others by making gifts for those in need.

Integrity- having integrity means keeping your commitments. Identify and keep your commitments to others as you participate as a member of a team or organization or in a leadership position in your community.

Please call or e-mail Sister wing if you would like to make this one of your projects. 968-3111 or sosiouxmeto@msn.com
