Yummy Yummy Bread Recipe (From Don't Be A Hamburger Helper Wife Activity)

In a small bowl combine:
2 Tbsp. Yeast
2 Tbsp. Sugar
1/2 c. and a little extra warm water
Set aside and let rise 10 minutes

In a microwaveable bowl pour in:
1 can Evaporated milk (2/3 c. powdered milk and 1 c. water) to make your own
1 can water
Heat for 1 minute and pour into mixing bowl.

Add to milk mixture:
1 Tbsp. Salt
3 Tbsp. rounded shortening
1/2 c. Sugar
4 c.Wheat flour or White flour

Mix until blended. Continue to add in 5 c. more of white flour until the dough is soft, but not sticky. Mix for 5 more minutes and then put into greased bowl. Cover with moist towel and let rise 1 hour. Punch down and form into loaves (4 medium large or 5 medium small). Place in greased loaf pans and let rise for 45minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. If desired, after first time rising, punch down and form into loaf, but then wrap in plastic wrap and then foil and stick in the fridge or freezer for later use.
